Chapter 2a - Weather Data

This chapter will describe the various sources of atmospheric surface data and how it used to provide information about synoptic weather conditions (conditions at one time).

  • Rawinsondes:Weather balloons launched every 12 hours.
  • LSC weather station: Tutorial introducing the weather instruments outside the Vail parking lot.
  • LSC weather station data: An archive of LSC weather data. You can view minute by minute weather data for any date up to present by choosing "HTML formatted" or a summary of daily weather data by choosing "Summary" and hitting "Submit" button.
