I am a senior Meteorology major at Lyndon State College pursuing a degree in the National Weather
Service and Private Industry tracks. I have always had a love for snow storms ever since I was 
in grade school. Living in central Connecticut all my life I have seen my fair share of winter
weather with the rain snow line always fluctuating to the north and south of my home. By taking 
the knowledge obtained from my years here at Lyndon on winter weather characteristics and 
development, I am able to help improve the forecasting of these events over the Northeast. My 
goal for this research project is to improve the accuracy and longevity of winter weather 
forecasts.
