During the summer months of May-July, 2003, the Bow Echo and MCV EXperiment (BAMEX) was conducted over the midwestern part of the United States. The goal of BAMEX was to collect data on bow echoes and MCVs to better understand their structure, dynamics, and propensity to produce severe weather. A Lyndon State College faculty member (N. Atkins) and student participated in BAMEX. Below are pictures taken during the experiment.
