LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Timothy Lavigne Forecast Posted on Friday Sep 18, 2009 12:26 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: A cold front is currently moving through our area, bringing widespread showers and much cooler temperatures. Based on Saint Johnsbury climate data, our temperatures have been right around the average 30 year temperatures. With this front passing through, we will see that todays temperatures will be roughly 10 degrees below average for this time of year, and tonight while tonight will not be so cold due to residual clouds from the front, Saturday night's low will make us think that winter is beating down our door, with the chance of widespread frost and freeze warnings likely. Be sure to take care of those outdoor plants, and be prepared with warm clothing during the nights if you are planning any nighttime activity this weekend. Other than the threat of rain today and cooler nighttime temps, the weekend looks to be gorgeous with rebounding high temperatures approaching the 70 degree mark, which is still roughly around the climate average for this time of year.
