LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Steve Breault Forecast Posted on Wednesday Sep 16, 2009 10:21 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: Nothing major or out of the ordinary weather wise for the north country the next few days for this time of year. Through Wednesday afternoon mostly cloudy skies will prevail as a disturbance in the upper levels of the atmosphere develops over the region. This, despite high pressure building south from Canada, will result in numerous puffy fair weather clouds. Wednesday night could be cold, and the NWS is even considering a frost advisory, depending on if the cloudiness dissipates. Thursday, the upper level disturbance slowly weakens and moves east of the area. Although clouds will still be lingering around, Thursday should generally be a sunnier day resulting in warmer temperatures versus Wednesday. By Friday a strong cold front drops south out of Canada giving the region a short-lived shot of chilly Canadian air. Temperatures will begin to moderate and a warming trend looks to ensue by the later in the weekend. Wednesday Afternoon (Sep 16, 2009) Mostly cloudy skies with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s.
