Combs Forecast Posted on Monday Sep 14, 2009 10:45 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: Gray skies and a bit of rain make a return to the Northeast Kingdom over the next 2 days, as a cold front from Canada visits the region. Low pressure to our Northwest will move southward, and an associated cold front will trail into our area by Monday night into Tuesday. Clouds ahead of the front could touch off some showers late Monday, and by overnight Tuesday, everyone has a greater probability of seeing some showers. The front should clear out by Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-50s. An area of Canadian high pressure will push southward, clearing skies out Tuesday night, and cooling temperatures dramatically into the 30s, with scattered frost in the colder areas, setting up for a sunny Wednesday, and temperatures in the mid-50s. Remember to take caution with plants during this time, primarily with the frost beginning to set in. Monday Afternoon (Sep 14, 2009) Mostly cloudy. Isolated showers from late afternoon onward.
