LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Timothy Lavigne Forecast Posted on Friday Sep 11, 2009 12:17 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: The Northeast Kingdom has been enjoying a very pleasant stretch of weather lately. In fact, we have not seen measurable precipitation since August 30th. Today we will go for day 13 of this dry sunny weather as high pressure refuses to give any ground to low pressure off the coast, forcing it to settle with ushering in only wispy high clouds into the area. tonight, there will be increasing cloudiness which might quell the threat of thick valley fog, but it will remain rather dry, with the best chance of precipitation remaining well south of the Kingdom. Saturday looks seasonable, with more of the same high pressure keeping us warm and sunny. A dry front associated with a weak upper level trough will bring more cloudiness into the area overnight Sunday morning, but those clouds will be short lived as a new core of high pressure will build in during the day leaving the Kingdom with a glorious start to the new work week.
