** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties **

Forecast Discussion:
The clouds have been difficult to shake off on Thursday thanks to a recently
departed low pressure system. This low is currently to our east over the
Canadian Maritimes. A ridge of high pressure has been trying to build in, which
would break up the clouds, but it has been slow in doing so. Eventually, as we
move through Thursday evening, we’ll see that ridge clear us out for a short
time before another low pressure system approaches. Clouds will be on the
increase on Friday, in advance of this system, and rain will soon follow as the
system passes to our south. By Saturday morning, the low will have moved to our
east, but an upper level disturbance will remain. This means that we’ll see a
few leftover clouds and showers, but as high pressure builds in once again,
these clouds and showers will soon depart. The weekend looks great right
through Sunday afternoon, but clouds and showers will start to build in once
more with the passing of a cold front during the evening.

Clearing early in the evening, followed by high clouds moving in overnight.
Lows around 39-44 degrees. West winds around 5-10 mph.

Increasing clouds followed by evening rain. high temperatures around 51-56
degrees. Southwest winds around 5-10 mph.

Friday Night (Oct 09, 2009)
Rain continuing through the evening. Total rainfall amounts of 0.25" to 0.50"
expected. Lows around 41-46 degrees.

High: F  Low: 41-46F 

Saturday  (Oct 10, 2009)
Leftover clouds and showers in the morning give way to sunshine in the
afternoon. Winds northwest around 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Highs
around 50-55 degrees. Clearing overnight with calm winds. Colder with lows
around 27-32 degrees.

High: 50-55F  Low: 27-32F 

Sunday  (Oct 11, 2009)
Plenty of sunshine to start. Clouds increasing throughout the afternoon. Highs
around 50-55 degrees. Showers move in during the evening. Lows around 33-38
degrees.

High: 50-55F  Low: 33-38F
