Combs Forecast Posted on Monday Oct 5, 2009 10:32 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: After starting off September with drier conditions and sunshine, the end of the month took a turn for the wet with nearly 2.5" of precipitation over the last week of September. To no one's surprise, it does looks to be a very soggy start to our first full October week here in the Kingdom. Low pressure producing the rainfall from Saturday into Sunday evening has moved off to sea, but behind it another area of low pressure will skirt across our area. Monday will feature clouds and scattered showers into the evening and these showers will last into the morning on Tuesday before fizzling out. Tuesday should feature some sunshine before another potent low pressure area pushes eastward from the Midwest, bringing widespread showers for our day on Wednesday. Monday Afternoon (Oct 05, 2009) Mostly cloudy with occasional breaks of sun. Showers developing through the afternoon and continuing into the evening. South to southwest winds 5 to 10mph. New rainfall amounts of less than one-tenth of an inch possible. High: 52 to 57F Low: F Monday Night (Oct 05, 2009) Cloudy. Showers diminishing with valley fog possible by morning. Light west winds.
