LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Steve Breault Forecast Posted on Saturday Nov 7, 2009 01:59 ** The latest forecast for Northeastern Vermont ** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties ** Forecast Discussion: The ridge has been slow to clear out the skies across the Northeast Kingdom this morning. With the increase in cloudiness, we are expecting low temperatures to be higher than previously thought. Regardless, we should at least see some modest clearing towards dawn. The ridge will crest over the region later this morning towards sunrise. Warmer air will flow northward on the back side of the ridge during the day Saturday. Clouds will also be on the increase during the time before a weak trough brushes by the area Saturday night. By Sunday the ridge rebuilds into the northeast and the pleasant autumn weather continues. Saturday Morning (Nov 07, 2009) Gradual clearing. Lows in the mid 20s with a calm wind. High: F Low: 21-26F Saturday Afternoon (Nov 07, 2009) Partly cloudy with increasing cloudiness toward evening. Highs in the mid 40s with a south wind between 5-10 mph. High: 42-47F Low: F Saturday Night (Nov 07, 2009) Cloudy as a weak cold front brushes the area. Lows generally in the upper 20s. Winds will turn west between 5-10 mph. High: F Low: 26-31F Sunday Afternoon (Nov 08, 2009) Early morning clouds will give way to mostly sunny skies as high pressure bulges into the area from the south. Highs near 50 with a light west wind becomming calm during the afternoon. High: 48-53F Low: F Monday Afternoon (Nov 09, 2009) Monday is currently looking beautiful! Plenty of sunshine, and temperatures running 10-15 degrees above normal as the ridge shifts off the east coast. Highs in the mid 50s. South winds 5-10 mph.
