LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Garrett D. Combs Forecast Posted on Friday May 8, 2009 09:44 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: The continuation of a very wet weather pattern looks to make this weekend a gloomy one here in the Kingdom. The first of three systems made its way through the Northeast on Thursday, with widespread rain showers making for a dreary day. Friday should see much of the same as the second system comes through, bringing scattered showers over much of the area, with a rumble of thunder or two embedded in the rainfall. The rain should diminish overnight Friday into Saturday, where the first part of the day looks clear and warm before the third and final system pushes through. This system looks to be the hardest-hitting of the 3 so far, as we will have widespread rain from Saturday evening into Sunday evening. Please exercise extra caution on roadways, as hydroplaning is possible whenever slick conditions are present. This is the last student forecast for the Spring semester. Thank you to everyone who has assisted in the process, including Dr. Jason Shafer as well as the students and faculty of L.S.C. Your feedback is greatly appreciated and will help us immensely in the future. Have a happy, safe, and fun Summer Break! Friday Afternoon (May 08, 2009) Overcast skies.
