LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Matthew DiPirro Forecast Posted on Thursday Mar 26, 2009 10:19 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: After a beautiful start to the week, an area of low pressure threatens to disrupt the tranquil early spring weather. High pressure currently anchored across the eastern seaboard will move east of New England and make way for low pressure tonight into Friday morning. This low will bring a period of mostly rain showers to the Northeast Kingdom but there might be a few wet snow flakes mixed in the mountains. By Friday afternoon, weak high pressure will build into the region and allow for some clearing through Saturday with the next chance of precipitation coming Saturday night into Sunday. Thursday Afternoon (Mar 26, 2009) Clouds will fill in any small breaks of sunshine through late afternoon with a chance of sprinkles in northern areas. South wind between 3-7 mph. High: 45-50F Low: F Thursday Night (Mar 26, 2009) Overcast with a period of light to moderate rain with areas of fog. Some wet snow may mix in, mainly above 1,500ft with no significant accumulation.
