LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Garrett D. Combs Forecast Posted on Friday Apr 24, 2009 09:35 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: Summer will be making an early appearance in the Northeast Kingdom this weekend. High pressure off the North Carolina coast will keep us under mostly sunny skies for Friday, while a warm front to our South will push northward, bringing the chance for some scattered showers overnight Friday into Saturday. A rumble or two of thunder could be possible with these showers. These showers will clear out, leaving a warm, beautiful Saturday behind, with temperatures in the 70s under bright blue skies. Along with the sunshine, a cold front to the West will penetrate into our area Saturday night, with clouds and a chance for more showers for early Sunday morning. High pressure from Canada will clear the clouds out, making for a nice, but cooler, end to the weekend. Get out and enjoy the great weather, but also make sure to protect yourself from the sun's powerful rays. Have sunscreen ready, because the sun will be as powerful now as it would be in August, and sunburns can and could happen very quickly. Have a great weekend.
