LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Matthew DiPirro Forecast Posted on Thursday Apr 23, 2009 10:14 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: After a stretch of unsettled weather across the Northeast Kingdom, a quiet and warmer stretch of weather is in store through this weekend. Any scattered showers early Thursday afternoon will diminish through the evening but cyclonic flow will prevent any appreciable sunshine to poke through the overcast. In the wake of a departing low pressure system, high pressure will become anchored across the eastern seaboard by Friday. This will allow southwest winds to transport very warm air into New England both Friday and especially Saturday as temperatures rise into the upper 70s for the first part of the weekend. Thursday Afternoon (Apr 23, 2009) Overcast skies with a chance of a scattered shower or sprinkles. West to northwest wind 5-10 mph.
