LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Matthew DiPirro Forecast Posted on Thursday Apr 16, 2009 10:02 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: The Northeast Kingdom has been spoiled with a stunning stretch of springtime weather. High pressure suppressed precipitation and clouds well to the south yesterday as very dry and warm airmass is holding strong across northern New England. However, the lack of rainfall over the past week combined with increasing winds on Friday ahead of a cold front will result in a heightened fire danger. Luckily by Saturday, this cold front will approach from the north and give the area a chance of some rain showers to mitigate the threat for fires for the first part of the weekend. With the exception of a few showers early Saturday, the next few days will be ideal for all outdoor activities. Thursday Afternoon (Apr 16, 2009) Warm and plentiful sunshine.
