Forecast Discussion: The wintry conditions that have been affecting people south of us are going to deliver a strong punch this evening. A strong low pressure area to our northwest will move in and sandwich the Northeast Kingdom between that system and the strong system to our south. As a result, we can expect anywhere from 2-7 inches of new snowfall through Wednesday morning. Temperatures will fall quickly Wednesday afternoon once this system pushes through and high pressure begins to build in for Thursday. Tuesday Afternoon (Dec 11, 2007) This afternoon will be cloudy with snow showers. Winds will be light from the south and new snowfall accumulations will be less than a half of an inch. High: 27-32F Low: -F Tuesday Night (Dec 11, 2007) The snow will continue to fall through overnight hours adding an additional 2-4 inches of accumulation. There is a chance that some of the snow will mix with sleet so please be careful on the roads. Winds will be light and variable and skies will be cloudy. Temperatures will fall to the low 20s by 5 PM. High: 27-32F Low: -F Wednesday Night (Dec 12, 2007) Wednesday evening will be cold with partly cloudy skies and winds from the west at 5-10 mph with higher wind gusts possible.
