Watches, Warnings and Advisories !!! ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM TUESDAY TO 10 AM EST WEDNESDAY...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM TUESDAY TO 10 AM EST WEDNESDAY...FOR THE CHAMPLAIN VALLEY AS WELL AS CENTRAL AND NORTHERN VERMONT...FOR 2 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW. SNOW WILL DEVELOP BY LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND COULD BE HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THE EARLY EVENING...BEFORE MIXING WITH RAIN ACROSS THE VALLEY LOCATIONS LATE TUESDAY EVENING. THE SNOW WILL CHANGE BACK TO ALL SNOW BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE 2 TO 6 INCHES BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING COMMUTE ON TUESDAY...ALONG WITH THE MORNING COMMUTE ON WEDNESDAY MORNING...WILL BE DIFFICULT WITH HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS EXPECTED. Forecast Discussion: An area of high pressure located over the Northeast Kingdom is allowing for decreasing clouds throughout Monday night. On Monday night, low temperatures will be seasonably cold ranging into the lower to upper teens. On Tuesday afternoon widespread snow showers will move into our region from the west and will last throughout the evening hours. Clearing with seasonably cold tempertures will continue on Wednesday before another disturbance moves into the region on Thursday. Monday Night (Dec 10, 2007) Mostly cloudy skies.
