** The latest forecast for Northeast**
** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties**

Forecast Discussion:
The Northeast Kingdom will stay put in the cold and snowy pattern that
developed last week. An area of low pressure will scoot by to our south tonight
into Monday, but not before bringing snow showers to our region. High pressure
will nose its way in Monday night bringing clearing skies into Tuesday morning.
However, this will be short-lived as clouds will thicken Tuesday afternoon
ahead of a more potent Alberta Clipper system. The low pressure will track to
our north and bring widespread snow or a wintry mix for Tuesday night. The
forecast is still a little tricky on precipitation type so stay tuned for
further updates. The low will move east Wednesday leaving behind cloudy skies
and snow showers.


Sunday Night (Dec 09, 2007)
Overcast with scattered snow showers. Snow showers will become more numerous as
the night goes on. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

High: -F  Low: 10-16F 

Monday Afternoon (Dec 10, 2007)
We will see periods of snow showers throughout the daylight hours. Total snow
accumulations will be on order of about 1-3 inches by sunset. East winds
shifting northwest at around 5 to 10 mph.

High: 25-31F  Low: -F 

Monday Night (Dec 10, 2007)
Mostly cloudy skies early will clear out to mostly clear skies after midnight.
It will be much colder tonight as well. Northwest winds around 5 mph becoming
calm late.

High: -F  Low: 2-8F 

Tuesday Afternoon (Dec 11, 2007)
Mostly sunny skies during the morning will become overcast by sunset. There is
a chance of a snow shower later in the day. Wind will be out of the south at 5
to 10 mph.

High: 27-33F  Low: -F 

Wednesday  (Dec 12, 2007)
Snow will move into the region Tuesday night, and it may mix with some sleet
and freezing rain. The precipitation will change back to snow during the
morning and then end. Light to moderate snow accumulation is expected. The rest
of the day will be mostly cloudy.

High: 20-26F  Low: 18-24F
