LSC Northeast Kingdom Forecast Student Meteorologist: Alexander Lataille Forecast Posted on Saturday Dec 8, 2007 14:12 ** The latest forecast for Northeast** ** including Caledonia, Orleans, and Essex Counties** Forecast Discussion: Scattered snow storms have been popping up everywhere across the North Country this afternoon reducing visibility to near blizzard conditions at times. Although these storms are generally quick moving and dissipate rapidly they may contribute another inch to snow pack totals. These storms will stick with the region throughout the afternoon and into the evening hours allowing road conditions to become treacherous at times. Ultimately tonight skies will clear allowing low temperatures to reach the lower single digits. Northeast Kingdom weather will continue to remain unsettled on Monday with the entrance of a new low pressure system. This system may allow for some southern areas to experience freezing rain or sleet, however, much of the precipitation will remain as light snow for the northern and higher elevation regions.
