THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN NEW YORK...CENTRAL VERMONT...NORTHEAST VERMONT...NORTHWEST VERMONT AND SOUTHERN VERMONT. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS ARE LIKELY ACROSS MOST OF THE REGION WITH ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF DUSTING TO 2 INCHES EXPECTED...WITH HIGHER SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES LIKELY OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE ADIRONDACKS AND GREEN MOUNTAINS. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY SCATTERED LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE INTO WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT. SCATTERED LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REGION FROM FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY. Forecast Discussion: Snow showers will continue across the Northeast Kingdom today! An area of low pressure off the Canadian coast is responsible for the snow today through Wednesday. Snowfall accumulations will taper off as an area of high pressure moves in on Thursday. This will allow the skies to clear a bit so that the sun can make an appearance! Tuesday Afternoon (Dec 04, 2007) This afternoon will remain cloudy with snow showers. New snowfall accumulations of 1-2 inches are expected with even more accumulation in higher elevations. The winds will be from the northwest at 5-10 mph with higher gusts possible. High: 21-26F Low: -F Tuesday Night (Dec 04, 2007) Cloudy skies and snow showers continue into the evening with accumulations less than an inch. Winds will be light from the north. High: -F Low: 13-18F Wednesday Afternoon (Dec 05, 2007) One more day of cloudy skies and snow showers is expected Wednesday afternoon. Snowfall accumulations of less than an inch are possible with winds blowing in from the west at 5-10 mph.
