Forecast Discussion: What a weekend it is turning out to be in the Northeast Kingdom. Last night, we had a quick clipper move on through with a decent snow squall giving a couple inches of snow at the college. Today and tonight, we will have the coldest air in a long time. Lows in some areas could get below zero this evening. This is in association with a Canadian high, right now in Quebec, giving us a cold north wind. As the high moves out, we have an interesting set up for late Sunday night into Monday morning. The first Nor’easter of the season will be bearing down on the entire northeast. In our neck of the woods, expect snow to start around 2am on Monday morning and continue right into the morning commute, where it will be the heaviest. Plow able snow is expected throughout the region. Check in all weekend to see the updated forecasts and snowfall totals. Saturday Afternoon (Dec 01, 2007) Partly to mostly cloudy skies. Winds north at 5-10 mph. High: 17-23F Low: -F Saturday Night (Dec 01, 2007) We will start with partly cloudy skies. As the night progresses, more clouds will roll on in giving us cloudy skies at daybreak. Winds will be calm. High: -F Low: -3 to 3F Sunday Afternoon (Dec 02, 2007) Cloudy throughout the day, with snow holding off for the time being. Winds will be light and variable. High: 20-26F Low: -F Sunday Night (Dec 02, 2007) If you have plans for Sunday evening, do not change them the first half of the night looks good for now. It will be cloudy till about 10pm. After 10pm, expect snow to break out around the region. Winds southeast at 5-10 mph. High: -F Low: 16-22F Monday (Dec 03, 2007) Period of snow most of the day. Snow will be heaviest between 5am and 10am. It is still too far out to get exact numbers on the snow, but it is looking like we will have a decent amount of snow, definitely plow able. I strongly urge people to take it easy on the roads during this storm. High: 24-30F Low: 19-24F Next Update: Before 5 P.M. Today
