• onshore flow at low levels - sea breeze

• offshore flow at upper levels - return flow

• rising air over land - due to convection and lifting over the sea-breeze front

• sinking motion over the ocean

• NOTE: the surface low pressure over land is often referred to as a warm core thermal low 

• so, what is this sea-breeze front ???
