Course prerequisites:
- Survey of MET I and MET I Lab, Survey of MET II
You need to have passed the above classes with a grade of C- or higher.
Goals of the course: By the end of this course you will:
- be more proficient with the data, software, and hardware found in the met lab.
- have further developed data analysis, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
- have learned basic weather forecasting and briefing skills
Required text: None - However, I will assign video modules for you to study before labs
Grading:
Your course grade will be based entirely on the weekly lab assignments that you turn in. Note that you receive separate grades for Survey of Met II lecture and lab.
As you turn in the lab assignments, I will have calculated your "grade-to-date". Your grade-to-date represents what your final grade would be at any particular time during the semester. It is a good indicator of your current course grade and can be used to determine how you are doing in the course.
Grades will be based on the following scale:
90-100% | A |
80-89% | B |
70-79% | C |
60-69% | D |
0-59% | F |
Makeup and late homework assignments: There will be NO make ups for the lab assignments. All labs must be turned in within 10 minutes of the stated due date and time. NO EXCEPTIONS.
